Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Megan Baxter and I once was "stuck" right where you might be. At the young age of 32, I had found myself a widow with two children and desperate to rebuild a life for my family. Driven by mothers determination, I started a business. Unfortunately, that didn't pan out as I had hoped or expected. After letting go of that endeavor I went back to school, earned my degree and took a bold leap into a new career as a corrective exercise specialist only to have my plans struck down by illness that prevented me from continuing in the fitness industry.
Feeling like I would never succeed, I almost gave up. I almost allowed circumstance to dictate my future, but I had children who deserved a better life than the one I was giving them. Accepting failure was not going to be an option for me. It was then that I took my next leap into network marketing and the social selling markets.
For as long as I can remember, I always had the "entrepreneurs flame" in my soul. I started many projects and although I would pour my heart into them, I just couldn't seem to figure out how to put the puzzle pieces together in the right order. I failed forward through network marketing for eight years. Yes, eight painful years of falling short of the success I knew in my heart I was destined for.
Then one day I had a life changing epiphany. I wasn't "failing at the work". My leaders were failing at teaching! I showed up ready and eager to learn in each endeavor and each "leader" I was assigned to didn't teach how they got to the top. The gave some information, but never ALL the information. Most had built large teams but very few had actually taught any of those "team members" how to achieve the same success. As I watched woman after woman feel like a failure and have their dreams broken from "going it alone" I realized I needed a true mentor, not an "upline".
That day I took my power back. It was then that I began my search for a true mentor and started consuming all I could to educate myself on marketing, sales, advertising, branding, graphic design and social media. I took collegiate courses, I attended workshops, I went to masterminds, I read a lot of books and I began implementing new strategies into my direct sales business THAT WORKED!
Eventually I found "my mentor" and, with all I had learned, I was able to reach a level of success where I was able to support my family solely from my network marketing business.
I had learned what the "leaders" don't tell their teams and I carved a new path.
After a couple years of success I felt I had the "hang of it" and I began to help other women build their businesses. Word of mouth spread and I was blessed with opportunities to teach other women. I was able to instruct them how to work their virtual businesses and show them that they weren't failures.
THEY JUST NEEDED SOMEONE TO GUIDE THEM!
Now, after five years of coaching behind the scenes, I am stepping out from behind the curtain on a mission to help as many women succeed as I possibly can.
